We're obsessed with scale-model toy cars in general and Lego
toy vehicles in particular. Our print associate editor even made his own Lego
hot rod. We're forever fascinated with the amount of creativity that goes into
putting together these miniature replicas. Use Lego bricks to assemble a sports
car and you have our attention.
This guy named Jergens Correa certainly has our undivided
attention now. You see, he sent us these photos of his Lego models of
Philippine urban settings back in February, and we saw them just now. This
means these images have been sitting in our mailbox for months! (Apologies for
that; we do get tons of messages on a daily basis.)
Anyway, what Jergens did is unique: He rendered familiar
elements of typical Metro Manila scenery as Lego scale models, including our
enduring jeepney and tricycle. But the most interesting features of these Lego
models are the common Philippine stores, restaurants and even motels! Be sure
to scroll down to the very last photo.
Enjoy these pictures. Hats off to the imaginative Lego
builder.
